Grating

Grating goes high on the list of things that work well. Dirt and hair in the cockpit drove this sailor nuts and it had to be cleaned often (more than once a day). Water on deck or on the shower floor was another problem. Adding grating eliminates the annoyance of standing water and dirt collection on a hard surface.  A bucket of water or quick washdown takes care dirt and debris collecting under the grating.
